An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
